James was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. He has served as a pastor of RCC since 1988 when he was hired as the first youth pastor in Oceana County. In 2000 he accepted the position of Senior Pastor and has been serving in that role since then. His hobbies include camping, boating, and cheering for the Vancouver Canucks. James and his wife Cathy have four grown children and one still at home.
