News & Events for Sep 10-17
The Missions Conference is coming soon! October 8th-15th. Speakers will include Ron Cline, Matthew Boardwell, and Tim Keesee, as well as other of our supported missionaries. Be sure to keep this week open and be a part of this special time at RCC.
Wednesday nights, 6:00-7:30 PM, for kids in Kindergarten-5th grade. Awana is a wonderful time for kids! Each night includes singing, great games, and fun Bible memorization. Kids can earn awesome prizes, and team t-shirts! The first night is September 13th. It will be a family night. Come, register your children, and find out what Awana is all about here at RCC. A free dinner will be provided.
The Awana Kids Need Snacks!
Sometimes kids show up a little hungry to Awana, so last year we started providing snacks. With so many Awana nights we end up going through a lot of food. Would you help by donating Original Flavored Goldfish Crackers and/or Strawberry Kiwi flavored Capri Sun Juice Pouches? Donations will be collected through the month of September. There is a table in the Fellowship Hall where you can put your items. Thanks for helping Awana out!
Food Pantry Helpers:
We always need helpers in the food pantry. Even if you’re already helping or have signed up in the past, please sign up on the bulletin board so that we know who is willing to help. We especially need people who are able to pick up food. Thank you!
Looking for Timeout (formerly MOPS) helpers!
Timeout begins Tuesday, Sep 26th. We will have a short informational meeting TODAY right after the church service at the front of the sanctuary. Please come if you are interested in serving. See Angela Hysell or Erin O’Connell with questions.
As you may have noticed, we have reworked our Visitor Information Center. If you are able to serve in that area, please attend a short meeting next Sunday, Sep 17th, during Sunday School. We will meet in the center classroom off the sanctuary. Contact Jim Draper if you have any questions.
The women’s retreat is Sep 29th-Oct 1st. We will have open registration today after the morning service. The full payment is due at that time: $124 for over-nighters and $89 for commuters. Please bring cash or your checkbook. Financial assistance is available, if needed. Spots are limited!!! Talk to Gina Sharpe with any questions.
Even if you haven’t signed up, please stop by the Resource Room and get your pictures taken for the directory. We want all the members and regular attenders of RCC to be represented! Next Sunday is your last chance. If we don’t have your picture after that, we can’t say for sure what might represent you in the directory!
