News & Events for May 15-21
Food Pickup People Needed:
The food pantry needs more people to help with picking up food in New Era. This happens about every other week, on Thursday morning. If a vehicle is a problem (a truck or large van is required), there is a vehicle available. Please talk to Kaye Schmidt or Sandy Christiansen to volunteer.
Juice Pickup People Needed:
The food pantry needs someone to pick up juice in Sparta once a month. They must have access to a vehicle big enough to haul a ton box full of juice. It must be an open truck bed because the company sets a pallet right in the back of truck box. For more information, or to volunteer, please contact Sandy Christiansen.
Coffee Servers Needed:
Thank you to the Todds for taking over May. Please check the sheet outside the kitchen to see if there is a month when you can serve!
Children’s Day Camps:
If you are interested in coordinating or volunteering for a Day Camp this summer, please contact Pastor Bryan.
25th anniversary trip:
Pastor James & Cathy have finally scheduled his 25th anniversary trip. The trip is called “The Footsteps of the Apostles”. It is a trip to Israel and cities of the early church and is led by Alistair Begg. The trip is scheduled for Sep 23-Oct 8. The gifts that were previously given are not enough to cover the full cost of the trip so the deacons have reopened the fund. If you wish to contribute, please mark your gift “25th anniversary trip”.
Ladies, save the date! October 7-9 will be the Women’s Retreat at Grace Adventures. We will have a sign up in July but mark your calendars and make plans now! This is something you do not want to miss!
Because the timing is bad for so many, we will postpone the banquet until sometime in August. We will send out invitations when we determine the date.
Let us know that you’re here!
Please put your attendance cards in the basket by the mailboxes. Or fill out the visitor tab and put it in the offering plate.
Building Project Update:
The new carpet will be installed in the following areas on June 6th:
*Resource Center *Narthex *Classrooms across from nursery *Hallways
Mailboxes and Attendance Cards:
Yes, it’s that time again! The mailboxes and attendance cards will be redone soon (Michelle’s broken wrist threw off her plans.). If you are regularly attending RCC, we want you to be connected.
Don’t think you have a mailbox? You may be surprised! Check the Fellowship Hall. If we have missed creating one for you, please contact the office.
