RCC Open House:
We need volunteers to help out with the carnival game booths. Please sign up for one or more 30-minute slots to help operate these games. Sign up at the table in the narthex.
Rothbury Christmas Child:
Yes, it’s early but the back to school sales are in full swing and it’s a great time to pick up items to fill those shoeboxes!
RCC Open House:
Our open house/promotion Sunday is August 27th. The church will provide chicken strips and fries (thanks to the Chicken Coop), as well as beverages. Please bring a hot and a cold dish to pass (each should serve about 12 people) and your own table service. We ask that you remember that this is not just a potluck but an outreach to the community. In the last couple of years, we have actually run out of food.
The women’s retreat is Sep 29th-Oct 1st. We will have open registration on Aug 27th and Sep 3rd, after the morning service. The full payment is due at that time: $124 for over-nighters and $89 for commuters. Please bring cash or your checkbook. Financial assistance is available, if needed. Spots are limited!!! Talk to Gina Sharpe with any questions.
Sep 15th-17th, the Jr & Sr High will be going to a special weekend at Cedar Point. We will leave Friday evening and return Sunday around noon. The cost will be $55 (assistance is available) and covers food and stay at campground. If you or any friends plan to go to Cedar Point this year, please talk to Joe Schmidt. Deadline to register is Aug 27th.
The following funds are open for your giving! If you choose to give, mark your gifts accordingly:
•Air Conditioning Fund •Benevolence Fund •Food Pantry Fund
•Kitchen Remodel Fund •Orphan Care (Adoption) Fund
There is a list of church projects on the bulletin board in the narthex. If you can complete any of these projects or if you know of other things that need doing, please contact Ryan Ransom.
