News & Events for Apr 29-May 5

Deacon Election Results:

Chad Carlson, Jay Goodrich, John Huls, Joel Kroll, Ryan Ransom, and Bradley Whitney were elected to the deacon board. Please be in prayer for these men, and the rest of the deacon board, as they seek to honor the Lord and care for the needs of the church.

Serving/Outreach Opportunity:

On Saturday, May 12th, there will be a cleanup day at Oceana Shores Trailer Park. We won’t actually be doing any cleanup but will be part of an effort to provide dumpsters and a hot dog lunch for the residents. See the insert for details.

Fellowship Time Help Needed:

We still need coffee servers for the coming months! If you can’t do an entire month, share with another couple! It’s a great way to get to know people. Please check the sheet outside the kitchen to see when you can serve. We also need homemade goodies (cookies, quick breads, sweet rolls, etc) to go along with the coffee!

Vacation Bible School:

Are you interested in serving in VBS this year? The dates are July 16-20 (evenings) and volunteers to teach, lead games, serve food, etc. are needed. Contact Pastor Bryan or Gina Sharpe for more information or to volunteer.

Mailboxes/Attendance Cards are updated

If you’ve been attending for a while, please check because you may have a mailbox and don’t realize it!

The elders

are pleased to announce that Dave Rakosky has been in the process of becoming an elder at RCC. Our bylaws state that before he is installed a candidate for elder must be presented to the membership so that any concern over his qualifications can be made known to the current elders. We anticipate installing Dave in the position of elder sometime in May. Please prayerfully read 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and our bylaws (Article 4, Section 1) and contact a current elder with any feedback.

The Hymn of the Month

is “Come, Thou Almighty King”. For more information on this hymn go to bit.ly/RCCApr18
